Fleet Actions
Fleets are composed of ships.
Fleets belong to colonies, their support cost is subtracted from colony resources.
Ships initially belong to the colony that built them, but assign them to another colony by merging fleets.
Fleets automatically unload their cargo when they arrive at a colony of the player.
You can access your fleets via the Fleets page :
fleets
or at the planets they orbit or travel towards :
fleet_on_planet
By clicking on your fleet's name link, you see an overview of your fleet :
fleet_overview
A menu specific for your fleet appears with a summary line below for your fleets stats
Right below the fleet stats you see a list of ships that are included in your fleet, the ship tag and the quantity.
If your fleet is orbiting above any of your colonies you have the option to scrap your ships.
And the last line is an overview of your fleet's load if any.
Lets try to move the fleet first, click on move link:
move
You have to specify the destination, the ships that will move and the load they will carry.
Destination can be any valid coordinates that specify a planet, you can use your colonies links on the bottom left side to fast set the destination, or your bookmarks listed on the right.
Then you have to select how many ships you want to move towards the destination, you can either edit the fields or click on the fast links to fill them.
And last you can, if you want to, fill the available cargo space with load to haul to destination. Some fast links are there to help us in this task.
As soon as you are happy with your selections you click on launch button and your fleet starts travelling.
Ships that do not have engines cannot travel.
You need ships with cargo space to haul load.
Fleets travel with the speed of the slowest ship.
Loaded ships travel slower than empty ones.
When part of the ships that consist a fleet are selected, the fleet splits and only selected ships travel. The rest stays at location.
Your fleet will remain in transit for the time necessary to complete the travel, in case you want to recall the ship you can do it by its overview page.

Now lets check another option : Colonizing
In order to colonize a planet:
  • The planet should have not another colony already.
  • Your fleet should have a ship with at least one colonization module.
  • The colony the fleet belongs to, should have the necessary resources for the colony setup.
Select a fleet of yours, and then click on colonize link, if it is possible to colonize a page like below will appear :
colonize
Colonization will consume one ship of your fleet, in case that your fleet has more than one design able to colonize you will have to choose wich one you want to use. Depending your ship's count of modules more or less buildings will automatically create at your new colony.
As soon as you make your selection you can give a name for your new colony and press the 'Build' button.
Ships with one colonization module create colonies with a command center and a habitat.
If your ship has more than one colonizatin module the following buildings will constructed : Farm, Mine, Power Plant and World Bank.
There is no point to have a ship with more than 5 colonization modules, no more buildings or levels will be constructed.
Note that your colony might start with negative output if no output structures are built.
Your colony will start with 1000 of each resource. All of your fleets orbiting the planet you colonized will automatically unload their cargo to the newly created colony.
Setup cost of a colony is doubled for every subsequent colony you create.

Now that you have more than one colony, you might end up having fleets from different colonies orbiting the same planet. In that case you can merge them using the 'merge' link.
As soon as you click the merge link, a list with other available fleets of you in orbit will be presented, you can select on which fleet you want your current fleet to merge.
Current fleet will dissapear after merging. All of its ships will be added to the 'merge target' fleet. The current fleet load will be added as well.
The colony of the 'merge target' fleet will now have to support the ships of your previously current fleet.
The most interesting and thrilling use of your fleet is for attacking your adversaries. In order to commit an attack your fleet has to be in orbit at the location where your target is.
You have to click on the attack link of your fleet, a page with possible targets will appear.
Then you have to select your deisred target and finally confirm the attack.
You can attack either a fleet or a colony.
You cannot attack your self, players under newbie protection and your federation mates.
If you choose to attack a colony, and your fleet (or part of it) survives after the attack you will steal resources from the colony.
The amount of your loot depends on empty cargo space or your fleet and the resources available on the colony.
There is a certain amount that cannot be stolen though, in order to help newbies avoid constant farming.
Attacker participates in the battle with his currently selected fleet, defender though will participate with all his fleets orbiting the specific location and his colony if he has one there. That is irrevelant from attacker's choice to target a fleet or a colony.
In case that during the battle some ships get destroyed, the debris of those fleets will start orbiting the planet.
Also, a fleet that lost so many ships that cannot any longer store its load, will jettison the excess load as debris.Debris can be collected only by ships that have recycler modules.
Debris collection commences at XX:15:00 and at XX:45:00 hours, each module can collect up to 200 units and up to the empty cargo space of their fleet.
Debris pile will deplete as soon as everything is collected.
In case that the fleet collecting debris orbits one of its own colonies, the amount collected will be instantly transferred
Fighting alone is sometimes not effective, joining a federation will help you discover new tactics, chat with people from around the world and share experiences and tips.
