Game Concepts

The Universe
	The universe, in Vast Universe ©, is expanding along with its inhabitants, the more players join the game the bigger the radius of the galaxy becomes, even new galaxies are discovered form time to time. Universe has a 'center', mostly to help players navigate, and spreads along x and y axis. In every given XY pair there is a probability to find a star. Stars are very important and affect each planet and moon that orbits them. Some stars favor habitability, some stars favor energy output, some have many planets and some don't. Planets that orbit the stars might have moons or not and their attributes affect as well the output of a colony you might setup on them. Depending on the orbit of a planet the attributes are affected as well. Some Orbits favor mineral output and others might favor the presense of more moons on a planet
Colonies
	Colonies are the backbone of your empires. At the beginning of the game you start on a home colony, your base for further expansion. As soon as your civilization makes the first steps towards space exploration, you can create new colonies and start expanding
Fleets
	Fleets are the means to your expansion, either for colonization either for your wars for dominance you got to have fleets. They protect your colonies, help you commit trade with your colonies or with other players and finally let you destroy your enemies capacity to harm you. Your fleets can also pillage enemy empires, giving a boost to your advance or vn can assist your fellow federation members as well. You need a shipyard to build your first ship, the bigger the shipyard the bigger ships you are able to construct. You will have to design your ships your self, fitting them with the modules of your choice according to your needs.
Battles
	Battles are part of your struggle ot dominance, sooner or later you will encounter hostile players and wars will be unavoidable. The battle system is simple in Vast Universe : you need higher fire power on your ships than your enemies ship's armor. Shields assist the surviveability of your ships if you equip them, as enemy firepower has to diminish your shields before start inflicting damage to them.
Federations
	You can join a Federation, or even create your own in Vast Universe. Through federations you can ask assistance form your companion empires, assist them as well, commit politics like declaring wars or forming alliances, or just chat in the federation board.
